Recap - June - Salzburg, Austria meetup with Deb and Gary

We caught up with Deb and Gary near the end of their German vacation in Salzburg, Austria. When we arrived, downtown Salzburg was cleaning up after hosting a large party for the finals of the 2008 Euro football championships, which Germany lost to Spain. Salzburg is an amazing town, where Mozart was born and also where parts of the Sound of Music were filmed.

Recap - June - Our first visitors from the USA

Deb and Gary (Tina's "aunt" and her husband) came to visit us in conjunction with a vacation to Germany. It was nice to have visitors, and we had a great time. We showed them around Esslingen, and then visited Heidelberg together, where they continued on with their German vacation. Although Tina still calls it Tim's car, the Shoe family has a new ride. We bought a brand new BMW, and are very happy with it.

Recap - June - Hike with Meike and Bertram's family

Early June, we hiked up a gorge to a waterfall with Meike, Bertram, Astrid, and Jonas. It was a very nice hike, and we visited for a little while after and enjoyed their hospitality.
